What We Do
Mission Statement:
At Occupational Theraplay, we are dedicated to nurturing foundational sensory and motor skills in children. Through personalized, play-based interventions and meaningful parent/caregiver collaboration, we empower families to integrate therapeutic strategies into everyday routines—promoting functional growth, independence, and lasting success.
Services
Therapy focuses on rhythmic movements and primitive reflex integration through play to organize and mature the brain and enable sensory processing and self regulation. Thereby laying the foundation for increased independence and function.
Primitive Reflexes
Primitive reflexes are automatic, instinctive movements that babies make in response to certain stimuli. These early reflexes are essential for survival and play a critical role in organizing the brain and nervous system in the first months of life. As a child develops, these reflexes should gradually integrate—meaning they fade away—making room for more intentional, mature movements and cognitive functions.

Rhythmic Movement
Rhythmic movements mimic the natural motions babies make in utero and during early infancy. These movements help organize the brain and nervous system, promote reflex integration, and lay the groundwork for more advanced motor control, balance, sensory processing, and self-regulation. Incorporating these movements helps children access foundational developmental pathways that may have been missed or disrupted.
